Wow, my FIRST BLOG! I'm so excited!! Hey James, it's been two days and I already miss you. Nothing exciting has gone on...well, Chris, Julie, and I proceeded to drink ourselves into an oblivion in your absence. Chris and I pissed off the pizza delivery man while pretending to be French. That's about it though. We miss you terribly, Reno will not be the same with out you. We will think about you everyday - PLEASE KEEP IN TOUCH!!!!!
I don't miss you per se, but I do kinda miss your bat. It's such a great bat. And we're really going to need it this season. I would also like to vouch for Kristin's story about the pizza guy. They were drunk and the pizza guy had to suffer. She's also right about Reno not being the same without you. It smells a lot better. Oh man, that one will never get old. Feel free to use that with the boys over in Iraq. All right then, I'll do my best to keep you posted on the games, please to be giving me an address so we can send you your official Strandberg Greens jersey. I want that picture, damn it. Good day to you, sir. Love, Skipper.
Hey James! I hate that you and Julie are now in the same boat as me and my James! Of course, Iraq is a bit further than North Carolina! I know that my "Roolio" has become a strong woman over the years, so don't you worry. Be safe and know that we are all thinking about you and Julie! We love you both!
Hope things are going well so far. I've been reading some of the blogs from your friends in Reno and you never know what great friends you have until you leave. Go figure!! I'll be visiting Julie while your gone to make sure she she doesn't hurt herself. Ha/ha! Take care of yourself and I'll talk to you later.
Hey, I think I may be the oldest blogger around here! I promise not to write anything too sappy, since all your friends can read it. I miss you and can't wait to hear from you. Hope that the trip over was uneventful, and that you got some sleep. Hope to see your smiling face, soon. Love Mom
Hi James, it's Kristin again... Julie and I went to the basketball game last night, after the game was over we couldn't find the car. We had to go to three different floors to find it - it was really quite embarassing. Anyhoo! I hope you're in good spirits - we still miss you! And Reno really doesn't smell any different after you left, it's still nasty!
Hi James - It's Tuesday night here and we're all wondering where you are about now. I just got off the phone with Julie and she sounds like she's doing okay... sure hope you are too. I know everyone is anxious to hear from you and how you're doing. Just know that we're thinking about you and looking forward to your getting home. Remember what Rob said - keep your butt down. Fran
Hey there, baby brother! Looks as if this blog thing is a smashing success! Quite a surprise to see that so many people love you, though... not sure why, really... Anyway, I think about you all the time and I'm sincerely regretting that I didn't get one last bite in for old times' sake. Oh well, there's always the wedding, hee hee! Can't wait to read some posts from you, as you are the star of this page as it were. Stay safe. We're all counting on seeing you soon. Oh, and tell that old lady that sap is welcome here. Mom love is the best love in the world, after all...
Hey Buddy! Hope your trip wasn't too uncomfortable. I've been on a plane before for about 14 hours and I was about ready to punch someone. You can only watch so many movies and read so many mags/books. Anyway, Kristin speaks the truth. Saturday, we tried to fool the Pizza Guy, but she couldn't stay in character. I'll have to give her some tips or something. When you get your mailing address let me know ASAP and I'll pass it on to my LA friend. Sure miss ya man! When you have time holla back. Love ya, CWEBB
Hey All, Greetings from Baghdad. Arrived safe and sound this morning. A little tired and a lot of jet-lag. It is Wednesday afternoon (2:50 p.m.) and I believe 3:50 a.m. wednesday morning there. So I think that equals me 11 hours ahead of you all. Too much fog on the brain still. 2 days down and allot to go. I just set up my internet so I can access it just about daily. I will still be able to use my charter e-mail, and this blog that was so graciously set up be my soon to be brother. I will try to figure out how to post photos. Thank you all for writing. I love and miss you all, especially my angel Julie!!! You keep me going! I don't have an address yet, but will tomorow. Please excuse the spelling errors, I have a hard enough time typing with two fingers on a full size keyboard. Untill later, take care. Love you all, (but Julie just a bit more). James
James, glad to hear you made it. I like the picture from your front porch. It looks nice. I really like the green waste management garbage cans. Do they pick up once a week? Take care, thamollusk
Hi James, This, too, is my first blog!! Yeah so exciting. Reno misses you and so do I!! I love hearing the comments about life over there. The pics are great. How do you know which tent is yours? They all look the same!! Be safe. Laura
Hi James! It's your cousins Jessica and Tawnya. We're all wishing you the best and hope you return safely. We love you! P.S. you look like a dork in that pic. P.P.S. Hi Julie! Call us soon, we miss you too!
Well with all the mud you definitely won't have to worry about having it caked in your hair!! I've decided that it's fine that you have a bald head over there because you look so mean maybe you'll scare them all away!!! I love you!! Julie
Hey James, i said hi on your "miss you" page and had to say hi on this one too. Fire detectors are working great...thanks for making our home safe...and for making sure mike didnt break his neck finding 'unique' ways of accessing 12ft ceilings without a ladder. luv you! be safe!
Yo James! Dust storms with goggles on. Reminds me of the burning man. You got two weeks to get that TV fixed or no Super Bowl for you. So get to fixing. Later, thamollusk
OK I thought I was computer savvy but this is new to me!! I loved reading everthing on your blog. I'm not sure about the new look. I have to agree with Julie - hopefully it will scare bad guys away!! Use sunscreen!!! Things are going good here in Ames - except for the artic conditions. Steve had to shovel for the first time in 14 years and that did not make him happy. Everyone else in the neighborhood had snow blowers!! I am still trying to get things organized here - well that is what I keep telling Steve - that way I don't have to look for a job!!! Take care and know we are praying for your safety. Love, Doris & Steve
