Really cool photo Grant Gimpel took at the Iraqi Fire Station. This is looking out through a bullet hole in the window. The Iraqis have these two dogs that hang out at the station eating handouts. They are wild and won't let you near them unless you are giving them food. The male kinda looks like Benji (spelling?). James

Good lookin' dogs...do they keep those around in case they get tired of army food?
Reno burnt down another house the other day, up near our neck of the woods. This one started as a brush fire just north of the mcarran exit off 80w, behind the starbux. We watched it from sta 1, listened to the radio, watched, waited, listened, waited...about an hour or so later, when the smoke started turning real real black, they decided they might need some help. We went in b-11 and didn't do a damn thing except sit in the smoke, your boys on e-21 went too, got there about 30 sec in front of us, pulled into the fire street and fought all kinds of fully involved, falling power poles, fence kicking fire. Elorza said they had 21 about maxed out, all their cross lays out, the bumper line, supply lines, almost ran out of water, mad chaos, etc. I told him to go pound sand cause all I got was a lung full of smoke and the view from 100 yards away.
Peavine's melted out, hopin' to go dirt bikin' tomorrow. Jake
Hey there old friend! This is Jenn Cooper (Potter) writing. My good friend Courtney ran into Julie at a baby shower. I have been thinking about you guys and wondered if you ever were over there. Well, now I know. What a great way to stay connected to those you know. I love the picture of the dogs, incredible! Just wanted you to know I was thinking of you and take care! Hope to catch up when you get back! Apparently you work with Torrey's husband Jake. Small world! Take care and I'll keep in touch!
